Damon works as a director and cinematographer. He has a vast body of award winning work that spans 12 years in the film industry. In the early days he studied Film and Television at the Queensland University of Technology. His highly acclaimed short films paved his way to the Australian Film Television and Radio School where he graduated with a Masters in Cinematography. At the AFTRS he excelled as a cinematographer, shooting several short films, including “MILK” (1999 Official Competition Cannes and Winner: Bilbao) and others for which he won Cinematographer of the Year.
He then successfully forged a career in commercials and music videos that included two and a half years in London. Artists photographed include Powderfinger, Silverchair, Spiderbait (Black Betty), Alex Lloyd, Gerling, Eskimo Joe, and End of Fashion. He has also shot second unit on two feature films.
Since then Damon, in collaboration with Stephen, has successfully segued into a directing career that includes music videos for some of Australia’s finest music artists, including Bernard Fanning, Sarah Blasko, End of Fashion and the Grates. Together Damon and Stephen have also directed national campaigns for Coke, Nestle, Arnotts, KFC and Sanitarium.
Damon is currently developing a short project that explores the anal possibilities of life coaching.
